Blamsoft is back with a new Rack Extension – t00b Distortion. If you are looking to add some analog warmth and/or some chunky distortion to your tracks read on for more info!
The devs at Blamsoft say this about their new distortion RE:
t00b Distortion contains industrial strength circuit simulation technology used to simulate a popular triode preamp stage. When overdriven, this circuit gives a classic warm tube distortion sound. This isn’t your common black box approximation algorithm, this is real voltages and currents in a circuit simulation with the most accurate tube model available.
Blamsoft seems to have taken the circuit simulation route with t00b Distortion which is usually a very complex task. Four tube models are on offer for a variety of circuit-modelled sounds. And the tone stack has been modelled after the iconic Marshall JCM800 series of amps.
All in all Blamsoft has come up with an intriguing distortion plugin here for only $39! If you still aren’t sure if you want to trial t00b Distortion, check out the audio demo below.
